These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of pawssporthome.org and any related services we operate (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

About Us

Pawssport Home Society (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a federally registered Canadian charity (BN 77545 3434 RR0001) based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Use of the Site
You may use the Site to:

• Learn about dogs available for adoption or fostering

• Submit applications, contact messages, donations, and other forms we offer

• Sign adoption or foster contracts we send to you

• Purchase items from our online store
   

You agree not to:

• Use the Site to harass, harm, or deceive others

• Submit false or misleading information

• Attempt to access areas you’re not authorized to access

• Scrape, automate, or otherwise abuse the Site

• Upload anything that infringes intellectual property or violates the law

Applications and contracts
When you submit an application, you give us permission to review it and contact you about the outcome. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption or approval. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason consistent with our mission.

Adoption and foster contracts are separate legal agreements with their own terms. Signing one of those contracts creates a binding agreement between you and Pawssport Home that takes precedence over these general Terms where they overlap.

Donations
All donations are voluntary and non-refundable except in cases of clear error. Donations are subject to our tax receipt policies and Canadian charity regulations. Tax receipts are issued in accordance with CRA guidelines.

Intellectual property
All content on the Site (text, logos, images, dog photos, and design) is owned by us or used with permission. You may share dog profiles and our public content on social media to support adoptions. Please don’t republish substantial portions of the Site without permission.

You retain ownership of anything you submit (applications, messages, contracts). By submitting, you grant us the right to use your submission internally for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-party services
The Site uses third-party services for hosting, email, payments, contract signing, and analytics/advertising measurement (including Wix, Donorbox, Brevo, Google). We don’t control how these third parties operate. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms.

Disclaimers
We provide the Site “as is” and “as available.” We don’t warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security issues.

Information about dogs (age, breed, history, behaviour) is provided to the best of our knowledge but is not guaranteed. Rescue dogs often arrive with limited background information, and our descriptions reflect our best assessment at the time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pawssport Home, our board members, volunteers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim related to your use of the Site is limited to the greater of $100 CAD or the amount you have donated to us in the past 12 months.

Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in BC. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
