Clifford was rescued as a puppy alongside his sister, Sandy, near a veterinary university in Guadalajaraan area where dogs are sadly often abandoned. Veterinary students took them into their care, provided them with a temporary home, and prepared them for adoption.
Because Clifford grew into a larger dog, finding the right family has taken longer than expected. He has always been surrounded by love and has never experienced mistreatment, but he is naturally shy and cautious around new people.

Personality & habits:
Sweet, gentle, intelligent, and sensitive
Good with other dogs and enjoys playing with his sister
Not cat-friendly
Initially shy and cautious with strangers
Calm and comfortable in peaceful environments
Walks calmly on leash
Travels well in the car
Can stay alone for several hours without separation anxiety
Knows some basic commands and learns quickly
May bark to alert, which is typical of his terrier traits
Clifford needs experienced, patient adopters who understand that trust is built through consistency, kindness, and time. He would thrive in a calm but active home, ideally near nature or with easy access to outdoor walks and adventures. He may also do well as a second dog.
Clifford has been waiting a long time for his opportunity. Everyone involved in his rescue believes that the right family is out there—one that will help him continue discovering the world and show him how wonderful life in a home can be.
