Be a Flight Angel

What is a Flight Angel?

Picture this: You are on vacation in Mexico. You see abandoned dogs roaming the streets and you wonder, how can I help? I'm only here for a few days! The good news is, you CAN help!

Once a dog has been adopted, their journey isn't quite over yet. Our dogs are often rescued and fostered in Mexico, and then adopted by families in Canada and the US. Once they are adopted, the next step is getting them to their new homes. That's where our flight angels come in.

A flight angel is a volunteer who escorts the dog on a flight they already have booked, from the dog's location, wherever it is being fostered, to it's new home city or somewhere nearby. Our flight angel volunteers help the dog complete that vital last step to get to their new adopted family.

How to Be a Flight Angel

Being a flight angel is easy. There’s no extra cost to you, and one flight can completely change a rescue dog’s life.

We take care of the entire process:

  • We handle the paperwork required by your airline

  • We help arrange the dog’s booking on your flight

  • We organize everything needed for travel

  • A volunteer from our team assists you at check-in to make sure all goes smoothly

  • The adopter or a volunteer will meet you at your destination airport to receive the dog and help them continue to their final destination.

You’re simply helping a rescue dog travel on a flight you’re already taking. That small act can be the final step between a dog waiting in Mexico and their new life with a foster or forever family in Canada or the U.S.
No extra travel costs. No complicated process. We’ll guide you every step of the way.
